South Indian actress and singer Mamta Mohandas gets ready for marriage. Engagement is on November 11. Marriage may be by 2012.Her childhood friend from Bahrain,business by profession is set to tie the knot with Mamta.She is currently acting in a tamil film.She also signed for a malayalam movie and marriage date may depend.
'Mayookham' by Hariharan is her debut film in Mollywood Industry. 'Sivapathikaram' is her debut film in Kollywood Industry.She also made her acting carrier in Tollywood industry .'Nayika' directed by Jayaraj is the new film of Mamta in Malayalam .
Mamta, who is trained in Carnatic and Hindustani music, first sang playback in the Telugu film Rakhi, singing the title song , making her debut in the Telugu film industry as a singer before making her acting debut in Telugu. She won the 2007 Filmfare Best Telugu Female Playback Singer Award for that song.
In Tamil, she sang "Kaalai Kaalai" in the film Kaalai, which starred Silambarasan in the lead role. In Malayalam she explored herself in the film Anwar. She also recorded a song for film Thriller. In the film 'Mohabath' , she sang a duet with Hariharan.Also Mamta is the brand ambassador of Kochi International Fashion Week.
She is also a cancer survivor.Positive thinking,self motivated and daring boldness led her to achieve success over Cancer. She reported media that there are many girls in film industry those who forgot about their age. Also she added that 'Life of a women consist of many cycles'. She also wishes to get over these cycles as a daughter, as a wife, as a mother. From her words its understood that she had a perceptive vision for her life .
